One home made bale of hay for us to feed to our girls - thank you for your kind donation.
As you know, this summer has been particularly tough for farming and food production from a weather point of view. We have made huge improvements to our pasture over the last few years, without the use of pesticides, artificial fertilisers and fungicides but despite all this without rain we are still struggling.
We are feeding our dairy cows from our winter food stocks already and have been since mid July which will help ensure we can keep the girls out on pasture for as long as possible in the hope that it rains during the growing season to revitalise the soil.
